Daily Chocolate. What a nice thought, a little chocolate every day to keep you happy, healthy and in good spirits. If the folks behind this business ever decide to branch out beyond chocolate I think their branding is replecable to other products. I’d be partial to Daily Beer, Daily Coffee and Daily Cookies to name a few.
Or perhaps Daily Chocolate refers to how long their chocolate will last. Ours didn’t live to see day break. A cross section of the bark reveals numerous toffee coated almonds covered in chocolate. The toffee is the first thing you taste followed by the dark bitter chocolate. The sweet-bitter tension works well, its an easy transition. There is a good crunch from the almonds and the toffee doesn’t stink to your teeth. We broke the bark into multiple pieces, which made sneaking back to grab a piece easier and imparted less guilt.
Verdict: If you eat chocolate daily, this would be a good addition to your lineup.
Made in Vergennes, we picked this chocolate bark up a few days ago at the Middlebury Co-Op for $5.25. You can find out more about Daily Chocolate at http://www.dailychocolate.net/HOME.html
